During his visit to Turkmenistan for the 30th anniversary of the country’s Permanent Neutrality, President of Armenia Vahagn Khachaturyan met with President of Iraq Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid.
The presidents discussed a wide range of issues related to the agenda of Armenia-Iraq bilateral relations, according to a readout from the Armenian President’s Office, The Caspian Post reports, citing Armenian media.
The presidents emphasized the importance of continuous efforts aimed at the dynamic development of Armenian-Iraqi relations, expanding political dialogue based on mutual trust, and deepening practical cooperation.
The heads of state exchanged views on initiatives aimed at regional security, peacebuilding, and strengthening stability. President Vahagn Khachaturyan presented the vision of the "Crossroads of Peace" initiative, highlighting the project’s broad potential as a pillar for regional communication, connectivity, and inclusive economic development.
