A Russian citizen was attacked and robbed by a group of teenagers in Armenia's capital Yerevan during the early hours of the morning, prompting a police investigation and a search for an additional suspect.
The incident occurred at around 3:30 a.m. (GMT+4) near the Parma supermarket on Northern Avenue, The Caspian Post reports via Sputnik Armenia.
The victim, identified as 39-year-old Mark Slavich, told responding police officers that three teenagers assaulted him near Swan Lake, knocked him to the ground, and stole 63,000 Armenian drams (about $171) from his pocket before fleeing the scene.
Police later detained two 16-year-old suspects-one from Yerevan and another from Armenia's Armavir Province.
Law enforcement officers are continuing their search for the third suspect and the stolen cash.
A criminal investigation has been launched into the robbery as police work to establish the full circumstances of the attack.
