A four-member SpaceX Crew-14 team is set to travel to the International Space Station (ISS) in spring 2027, with NASA astronaut Kayla Barron serving as commander.

The crew will include Roscosmos cosmonaut Arutyun Kiviryan, alongside NASA astronaut Chris Birch and JAXA astronaut Makoto Suwa. NASA confirmed the crew assignments on September 24, according to mk.ru.

Crew-14 will be the 14th commercial crew rotation mission conducted by SpaceX under NASA’s Commercial Crew Program. The long-duration mission will focus on scientific research and technology demonstrations designed to support future human exploration of the Moon and Mars.

For Kiviryan, the mission will mark his first trip to the ISS. He graduated from Saint Petersburg’s Suvorov Military School and earned an engineering degree specializing in rocket science from Baltic State Technical University in 2015.

Kiviryan was selected for the Yuri Gagarin Cosmonaut Training Center’s Cosmonaut Corps in 2021 and has served as a test cosmonaut since 2023, according to NASA.

Barron, meanwhile, will make her second trip to the space station. She previously spent 177 days aboard the ISS as part of NASA’s SpaceX Crew-3 mission in 2021-2022 and conducted two spacewalks during that mission.

NASA says Crew-14 is currently scheduled to launch no earlier than spring 2027. After docking with the ISS, the crew will join Expeditions 75 and 76.
