The State Agency for Public Service and Social Innovations under the President of Azerbaijan, in collaboration with Indonesia’s Ministry of State Apparatus Utilization and Bureaucratic Reform, held a symposium on public services.
Organized online, the event was held within the framework of the Memorandum of Understanding signed on July 24, 2017, and its continuation, the Action Plan signed on July 1, 2024, in Jakarta, The Caspian Post reports, citing AZERTAC.
Currently, more than 300 Public Service Centers, established based on the ASAN Khidmet model, operate in Indonesia, facilitating the exchange of knowledge and experience in applying innovative approaches and management mechanisms in public service delivery.
In their remarks, Ulvi Mehdiyev, Chairman of the State Agency for Public Service and Social Innovations, and Rini Widyantini, Minister of State Apparatus Utilization and Bureaucratic Reform, emphasized the need to organize public services in a more efficient, transparent, and citizen-centered manner, as well as to expand bilateral cooperation in this field.
The Indonesian minister noted that ASAN Khidmet has not only gained the trust of citizens in public service provision but has also served as an inspiration for international partners.
The symposium, which brought together 300 participants from both countries, included a Q&A session. The sides also highlighted the importance of continuing joint activities in areas of mutual interest and exchanged views on future stages of cooperation.
