Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov and his Bangladeshi counterpart Khalilur Rahman have signed an agreement on the exemption of visa requirements for holders of diplomatic, official and service passports.

The agreement was signed on the sidelines of the 81st session of the UN General Assembly, The Caspian Post reports, citing Azerbaijan's Foreign Ministry.

The document is expected to facilitate official contacts and further expand mutually beneficial cooperation between Azerbaijan and Bangladesh.

Following the signing ceremony, the ministers discussed the current state and prospects of bilateral relations, focusing on strengthening political dialogue, increasing trade and economic cooperation, and developing ties in education and humanitarian areas.
