Azerbaijan, Bosnia and Herzegovina Sign Ombudsman Cooperation Memorandum

The human rights institutions of Azerbaijan and Bosnia and Herzegovina have signed a memorandum of understanding aimed at strengthening institutional cooperation in the field of human rights protection.

The agreement was concluded during the International Baku Ombudsman Summit, bringing together senior representatives from both countries, The Caspian Post reports via Report.

Commissioner for Human Rights Sabina Aliyeva represented Azerbaijan at the signing ceremony, while Bosnia and Herzegovina was represented by ombudsmen Nives Jukić, Nevenko Vranješ, and Jasminka Džumhur.

The memorandum is designed to strengthen cooperation between the two countries’ human rights institutions, including the exchange of experience and information on the protection of fundamental rights and freedoms.

It also includes provisions for joint educational initiatives and awareness-raising activities aimed at promoting human rights standards and institutional development.
