A delegation from Azerbaijan-comprising representatives of the Social Research Center, the Center of Analysis of International Relations, and the Media Development Agency of Azerbaijan (MEDIA)-is participating in the Global South Media and Think Tank Forum in Yunnan Province, China.
The delegation is headed by Ahmad Ismayilov, Executive Director of MEDIA, The Caspian Post reports via local media.
The event has brought together around 500 participants from over 260 organizations across 110 countries, making it a major platform for dialogue and cooperation among countries of the Global South.
The forum serves as an important venue for building consensus on peace-related issues, identifying development drivers, and exploring new avenues of cooperation and intercivilizational dialogue.
One of the key highlights of the event was the signing ceremony of a Memorandum of Understanding between the Media Development Agency of Azerbaijan and China’s Xinhua News Agency. The MoU was exchanged by Ahmad Ismayilov and Fu Hua, President of Xinhua, marking a step forward in strengthening bilateral media cooperation.

Additionally, the establishment of a Joint Communication Partnership Network of the Global South was announced to foster ongoing collaboration.
