Direct air travel between Azerbaijan and Russia is expected to resume on several routes in the near future, Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov announced following talks with his Russian counterpart Sergei Lavrov in Moscow.
Speaking at a joint press conference after the bilateral negotiations, Bayramov said the restored services will include routes that were suspended following the December 2024 tragic incident involving an Azerbaijani civilian aircraft, The Caspian Post reports via Report.
The Azerbaijani foreign minister noted that work is underway to restore air connections between the two countries, with several previously restricted destinations set to reopen.
