Azerbaijan, UK Explore Cooperation in Defense Industry

On December 4, Vugar Mustafayev, Azerbaijan’s Minister of Defense Industry, met with the visiting delegation led by Lord Vernon Coaker, Minister of State for Defense of the United Kingdom.

Minister Mustafayev expressed confidence that Lord Coaker’s visit would help strengthen cooperation between the two countries in the defense industry, The Caspian Post reports, citing the Ministry of Defense Industry.

He highlighted that Azerbaijan’s defense sector is developing sustainably and stressed the importance of international partnerships for its growth.

The minister provided extensive information on Azerbaijan's achievements in the defense industry, its production capabilities, and the application of new technologies. He expressed his optimism that the development of relations with the UK in the field of defense industry would bring mutual benefits.

Lord Vernon Coaker expressed his gratitude for the cordial meeting and highly praised the role played by Azerbaijan in regional stability and security. He reiterated the United Kingdom’s interest in expanding cooperation with Azerbaijan in various fields, including the defense industry.

The meeting also focused on issues of mutual interest.
