Azerbaijani wrestlers have showcased their talent and determination at the Third CIS Games, securing three medals-one gold, one silver, and one bronze-in wrestling events hosted at the Ganja Olympic Sports Complex.
Rising star Ravan Hasanzada claimed the gold medal in the 48kg weight class, delivering a standout performance that underscored Azerbaijan's strength in youth wrestling, The Caspian Post informs via local media.
Meanwhile, Husein Ismayilov earned a silver medal in the 65kg division, narrowly missing the top spot but contributing significantly to the team's overall success.
In the women’s competition, Khadija Gurbanzada added to the medal count with a bronze in the 49kg category, rounding out a solid showing for the Azerbaijani delegation.
