Beijing, Baku Actively Implementing Bilateral Agreements: Chinese Envoy

Various institutions and regions of China and Azerbaijan are actively implementing agreements reached between two countries’ leaders, said Lu Mei, Chinese Ambassador to Azerbaijan.

She made the remarks during a briefing marking the first International Day for Dialogue among Civilizations, The Caspian Post reports, citing local media.

“China is ready to enhance humanitarian cooperation with Azerbaijan to facilitate better understanding between the peoples of the two nations through dialogue, deepening friendship ties, and starting a new chapter in boosting bilateral relations,” the diplomat mentioned.

Recalling the state visit of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev to China on April 22-24 this year, the ambassador highlighted the significance of the Joint Statement on the Establishment of a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the People’s Republic of China, as well as other important documents signed between the two countries on boosting cooperation across various domains.

Ambassador Lu Mei also underscored her recent meetings and discussions held between the high-level Azerbaijani officials and delegations from China focused on developing bilateral relations.
