Deemah AlYahya, Secretary General of the Digital Cooperation Organization (DCO), has announced plans to visit Azerbaijan soon.

"A warm conversation in Riyadh, and an exciting journey to Azerbaijan just around the corner. Pleased to reconnect with H.E. Mutallim Mirzayev, Azerbaijan’s Ambassador to Saudi Arabia, ahead of my upcoming visit. Azerbaijan’s digital growth is impressive, with strong digital adoption for social inclusion (83.4%) reflected in @dcorg's Digital Economy Navigator. I’m looking forward to experiencing this progress firsthand and building on our cooperation as Azerbaijan moves closer to joining the DCO family," AlYahya wrote on X.

The Digital Cooperation Organization was established in November 2020 as a global multilateral organization focused on accelerating inclusive growth in the digital economy and promoting digital well-being.

Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Digital Development and Transport announced on September 1, 2026, that the country had become a member of the DCO.

AlYahya’s upcoming visit is expected to further strengthen cooperation between Azerbaijan and the organization in digital development and the broader digital economy.
