One Injured in Ammunition Explosion in Azerbaijan’s Kalbajar District

On July 21, an ammunition explosion occurred in the Zaylik village of the liberated Kalbajar district.

Sarkhan Isgandarov, a resident of the Gazakh district, 39, was injured as a result ammunition explosion while grazing animals in an area that had not been cleared of mines, The Caspian Post reports via Azertac.

The district prosecutor's office has launched an investigation into the incident.

Mine Action Agency of the Azerbaijan Republic (ANAMA), the Ministry of Internal Affairs, and the Prosecutor General’s office once again urge citizens to strictly adhere to safety rules, pay attention to mine danger signs, avoid entering unfamiliar or potentially hazardous areas, and not interfere in areas where fencing activities are being carried out.
