Organization of Turkic States Strengthens Ties with Major Resolutions at Azerbaijan's Gabala Summit

The Council of Foreign Ministers of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) has convened in Gabala, Azerbaijan and approved a series of important decisions aimed at strengthening the organization’s institutional framework and expanding cooperation among its member states and observers.

he meeting resulted in several key resolutions, including amendments to Articles 1 and 4 of the Rules of Procedure of the Turkic Academy. Notably, Turkmenistan was granted observer status both at the Turkic Academy and at the Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation, The Caspian Post informs via local media.

The Council also approved the budgets for 2026 for the OTS Secretariat, the Turkic Academy, and the Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation, as well as the OTS Secretariat’s financial report for 2024. These approvals were formalized through the protocol of the Council’s session.
