State Tourism Agency: Azerbaijan to Open Permanent Tourism Office in China Next Year

Chairman of the Azerbaijani State Tourism Agency Fuad Naghiyev has stated that the Azerbaijan Tourism Board will establish a permanent representative office in China next year.

Naghiyev made these remarks at the launch ceremony of the “China Ready” program in Baku, The Caspian Post informs via local media.

He underscored the growing tourism cooperation between Azerbaijan and China, highlighting the mutual visa exemption agreement signed in Beijing this April. “Simplified visa-free travel for citizens of both countries will boost tourist flows, stimulate business activity in the tourism sector, and strengthen economic, humanitarian, and cultural ties,” he said.

He also noted that China has long been a priority market for Azerbaijan’s tourism. “Since the Agency’s establishment, we have carried out extensive initiatives to promote Azerbaijan in China, including participation in international tourism exhibitions, promotional campaigns in major cities such as Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, and Chengdu, cooperation meetings with industry representatives and media, and marketing activities on leading online platforms,” Naghiyev added.
