Azerbaijan’s Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov has highlighted that defense collaboration continues to be a top priority within the Organization of Turkic States (OTS).
Speaking at a press briefing, Bayramov noted that the OTS member states cooperate in nearly 35 areas, with the defense sector holding a special place, The Caspian Post reports via local media.
“Joint military exercises are regularly conducted among Turkic states. Holding such exercises, including in Azerbaijan, serves the interests of all parties,” he said.
The minister added that personnel from non-member countries can also participate in these drills.
“These initiatives promote peace and there is no reason for concern. We will continue supporting them and expect joint exercises to take place in 2026 as well,” Bayramov concluded.
