The OSCE Chairperson-in-Office’s Special Envoy, Terhi Hakala, will visit Turkmenistan, Tajikistan, and Kyrgyzstan from 8 to 16 September, where she is scheduled to meet with senior government officials and representatives of civil society.
The visit is aimed at further strengthening the OSCE’s cooperation and partnerships across Central Asia, The Caspian Post informs via Kazakh media.
As part of her program, Hakala will also hold consultations with OSCE field operations staff, interact with beneficiaries, and tour the organization’s flagship regional institutions - the OSCE Academy in Bishkek and the Border Management Staff College in Dushanbe.
Earlier, President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev held a meeting with OSCE Chairperson-in-Office Elina Valtonen, reaffirming the country’s commitment to active dialogue and cooperation with the organization.
