South Korea–Central Asia Platform Sets Standard for Eurasian Integration

Jong Kook Rhee, Executive Director of the South Korea-Central Asia Cooperation Forum Secretariat (Korea Foundation), has praised the C5+K platform as a practical and effective example of regional collaboration in Eurasia during the Astana Think Tank Forum 2025.

Rhee stressed that in a world of deepening global interdependence, regional partnerships are more important than ever for fostering stability, innovation, and sustainable development, The Caspian Post reports via Kazakh media.

Recalling more than ten years of cooperation between South Korea and Central Asian countries, Rhee pointed to progress in healthcare, transportation, industrial modernization, and education, and noted that the Forum Secretariat has overseen over 100 joint projects and facilitated frequent exchanges among officials and experts.

“Central Asia has become an essential partner in shaping the future of multilateral cooperation,” Rhee asserted.

Drawing on South Korea’s own development journey, he added that enduring institutional dialogue can convert diplomatic frameworks into concrete mechanisms for regional advancement.
