In the first quarter of this year, Bukhara region welcomed 9,758 tourists from Russia, 2,878 from China, 1,830 from Kazakhstan, 1,353 from India, 1,338 from Japan, 1,161 from Italy, 961 from Turkmenistan, 929 from France, 785 from the United States, 738 from Iran, 668 from Spain, 611 from Malaysia, and 653 from Indonesia, The Caspian Post reports citing Uzbek media.
Foreign tourists who have visited Bukhara, recognized as one of the gems of global tourism, express a strong desire to return. They are deeply impressed by its unique architecture and rich cultural heritage.
By the end of this year, more than 2.2 million foreign tourists are expected to visit this ancient and ever-young city.
