A gala concert, co-organized by the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) and the embassies of its member states accredited in Vienna, was held in Vienna as part of Turkic Week, The Caspian Post reports, citing local media.
Prior to the concert, OTS Secretary-General Kubanychbek Omuraliev and Kyrgyz Minister of Culture, Information, Sports and Youth Policy Mirbek Mambetaliev addressed the event, emphasizing that "Turkic Week" held in Vienna from January 12 to 15, 2026, serves to highlight the strategic position, cultural heritage, and cooperation potential of the Turkic world in a multilateral environment. They underscored that this initiative would serve to further foster international diplomacy and cooperation.
Musicians from Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Türkiye and Uzbekistan presented a vibrant music performances at the concert, which was met with great enthusiasm among the audience.
The event, which took place at the MuTh concert hall, one of Vienna's most modern concert halls, was attended by representatives of the diplomatic corps and international organizations accredited in Vienna, local public and media representatives, members of the communities of Turkic-speaking countries in Austria, as well as music lovers.
