Iran Air has announced that it will continue operating flights from Tehran, Mashhad and Isfahan to Najaf, Iraq.

According to Iran Air, the flights will operate according to the scheduled timetable despite the threat of US sanctions, The Caspian Post reports, citing Al Jazeera.

The announcement follows remarks by US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent, who said Iranian airlines could effectively be shut out of international travel from Wednesday as Washington threatens foreign companies with secondary sanctions if they continue providing services to Iranian carriers.
