Russia’s Max Messaging Platform Hits 85 Million Daily Users

The daily audience of the Russian messaging platform Max has surpassed 85 million users, according to VK, The Caspian Post reports.

Since its launch, the app has been downloaded more than 120 million times, with users sending 150 billion messages and making over 6 billion calls.

The platform hosts more than 7 million private and public channels, with a combined audience of 300 million subscribers. It is included in Russia’s registry of domestic software and is available across mobile, desktop, and web versions.

According to the company’s press service, the number of international users has exceeded 8 million. These users make around 1.7 million calls and send more than 23 million messages daily. Registration for the messenger is currently open to users in 40 countries, including those in the CIS, Asia, Africa, the Middle East, and Latin America.

Max is positioned as a multifunctional digital platform, offering audio and video calls, chats, voice messaging, large file transfers, and money transfer services. Information channels are currently being tested, while the platform also integrates business tools such as mini-apps and chatbots.
