Azerbaijan, Kyrgyzstan Ink 2024-2025 Energy Cooperation Roadmap

The signed “Roadmap for 2024-2025 on energy cooperation between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Kyrgyz Republic” outlines joint efforts in the oil and gas sector, renewable energy, and the formation of a dedicated working group to advance these initiatives.

Azerbaijan and Kyrgyzstan have established a new stage of energy collaboration by signing key agreements, including a cooperation roadmap for 2024-2025.

According to the Azerbaijani Ministry of Energy, this development followed a meeting at COP29 in Baku between Azerbaijan's Energy Minister Parviz Shahbazov and Kyrgyzstan's Energy Minister Taalaibek Ibraev, The Caspian Post reports. 

During their discussions, both ministers explored avenues for bilateral energy cooperation. The signed “Roadmap for 2024-2025 on energy cooperation between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Kyrgyz Republic” outlines joint efforts in the oil and gas sector, renewable energy, and the formation of a dedicated working group to advance these initiatives.

Additionally, a Memorandum of Understanding and Cooperation was signed between Kyrgyzstan’s State Organisation “Green Energy Fund” under the Cabinet of Ministers and Azerbaijan’s State Agency for Alternative and Renewable Energy Sources under the Ministry of Energy.
