CIS Economic Council Holds 104th Meeting in Moscow

The heads of delegations exchanged views on issues covering various domains of the economic cooperation in the ICS, including industrial cooperation based on national industrial development strategies, a set of measures to improve safety culture in the peaceful use of nuclear energy, as well as a draft Protocol on Amendments to the Agreement on Investigation of Industrial Accidents.

Moscow hosted the 104th meeting of the Economic Council of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) on Friday, chaired by Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexei Overchuk, The Caspian Post reports citing Azertac.

Azerbaijan was represented at the meeting by Yagub Eyyubov, the country’s First Deputy Prime Minister.

Alexey Overchuk, Russian Deputy Prime Minister, and Sergey Lebedev, CIS Secretary General, highlighted the works accomplished by the CIS Economic Council.

Sergey Shogurov, Chairman of the Interstate Council for Exhibition and Fair and Congress Activities of the CIS, presented a report on the activities of the Interstate Council for Exhibition and Fair and Congress Activities of the CIS for 2018-2023.

The next meeting of the CIS Economic Council is scheduled to be held in Tashkent on April 28, 2025.
