Russian President Vladimir Putin will travel to India on the evening of September 10 to attend the upcoming BRICS summit, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said.
"The president is continuing preparations for the upcoming BRICS summit in Delhi and will fly there this evening," Peskov said during a briefing, RT reports.
Chinese President Xi Jinping is also scheduled to visit India on September 12-13 to take part in the BRICS summit.
The Kremlin previously said Putin and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi will hold bilateral talks on the sidelines of the BRICS summit in New Delhi.
