A delegation from Türkiye, led by Orhan Aydin, Chairman of the United Industrial Zone "Ostim," is currently visiting Uzbekistan.

The Uzbekistan – Türkiye Business Forum was held, which was attended by heads of ministries and agencies, industry associations of the two countries, representatives of more than 200 large manufacturing companies, and experts, The Caspian Post reports, citing Uzbek media.

The parties discussed the prospects for developing cooperation in the industrial sector.

Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Türkiye to Uzbekistan Olgan Bekar, Deputy Hokim of Tashkent region Najmiddinkhoja Sharipov, and others noted that in accordance with the resolution of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev of December 15, 2023, an Uzbekistan – Türkiye Industrial Zone was created in Tashkent on 100 hectares transferred to the Ostim Global JSC, a joint investment project worth $1.2 billion is being implemented, as a result of which it is planned to create 200 thousand jobs. Representatives of business circles showed interest in this project. It was noted that it is planned to develop the necessary conditions for attracting almost 1000 Turkish companies.

The forum was another step towards strengthening friendly ties between Uzbekistan and Türkiye and expanding economic cooperation.

After the B2B meetings, the delegation visited the Uzbekistan – Türkiye Industrial Park.
