Russia plans to maintain the volume of oil deliveries to Hungary this year at the level achieved in 2024, Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak said during an appearance on the Rossiya 1 television channel, The Caspian Post reports.
He noted that the European Union imposed a ban on oil supplies last year, but Hungary received specific exemptions that allowed shipments to continue.
According to Novak, more than four million tons of oil were supplied to Hungary in 2024, and Russia expects to reach the same volume this year.
Novak also stated that Russia continues to work with its Hungarian partners on joint projects, including those implemented within Russia.
