Georgia Acquires Advanced Anti-Drone System, Senior Official Says

Georgian Deputy Prime Minister and State Minister for Coordination of Law Enforcement Activities Mamuka Mdinaradze has said that the country purchased a modern counter-drone system capable of detecting and neutralizing multiple unmanned aerial vehicles.

Mdinaradze said the newly acquired system significantly strengthens the country's security capabilities, The Caspian Post reports via Sputnik Georgia.

He said that the advanced technology can detect and neutralize dozens of drones within a radius of 5-6 kilometers, providing enhanced protection against unmanned aerial threats.

"The acquisition of this state-of-the-art counter-UAV system makes it possible to detect and neutralize several dozen drones within a 5-6-kilometer radius. Georgia's State Security Service has never been at such a high level of development as it is today," he said.

The official did not disclose the reasons behind the purchase or whether the system has already been deployed in operational conditions.
