Businessmen and government officials from Uzbekistan and Georgia are set to gather in Tbilisi for a major business forum aimed at expanding investment, strengthening economic cooperation, and creating new trade opportunities between the two countries.
The Uzbekistan-Georgia Business Forum will take place in the Georgian capital on July 1, The Caspian Post reports via Sputnik Georgia.
The event is designed to promote closer bilateral cooperation, encourage investment dialogue, and deepen trade and economic ties between the two nations.
The forum will provide a practical platform for direct discussions between senior government officials and business representatives, assisting to establish new partnerships and investment projects.
During the forum, the Uzbek delegation will present the country's investment potential, highlighting legal and regulatory reforms, incentives for foreign investors, and government support measures aimed at attracting international businesses.
Participants will also learn about Uzbekistan's long-term strategy to improve the investment climate, strengthen legal protections for entrepreneurs, and support sustainable economic growth.
Panel discussions and business-to-business (B2B) meetings will focus on expanding cooperation in several priority sectors, including agriculture, electrical engineering, and modern construction materials.
Economic ties between the two countries have grown steadily in recent years. Bilateral trade tripled between 2017 and 2025, rising from $89 million to $267.6 million, reflecting increasing commercial cooperation between Uzbekistan and Georgia.
