Iran and Russia Explore Increased Cooperation in Nuclear Sector

The Deputy for International Affairs of Russia's state corporation Rosatom held a meeting with the Ambassador of Iran to Russia to discuss and exchange perspectives on bilateral cooperation.

Nikolay Spassky, Deputy for International Affairs at Rosatom, met with Kazem Jalali, Iran’s ambassador to Russia, The Caspian Post reports, citing foreign media.

Referring to the strategic and stable relations between Iran and Russia, the two sides discussed scientific, technical, and technological exchanges between the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran and Rosatom, as well as joint projects at the Bushehr Nuclear Power Plant.

The two parties described the continuation of successful cooperation between Rosatom and the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran in the field of peaceful nuclear energy as an effective example of the dynamism of the two nations in pursuing sustainable development and utilizing available potential resources to protect the environment and ensure energy security
