Iran has announced a significant increase in its non-oil exports to Turkmenistan during the first quarter of the Iranian year 2025 (March 21 to June 21).
The value of these exports rose by 13.2 per cent, reaching approximately $125 million, while the volume increased by 5.22 per cent, totaling about 364,000 tons, The Caspian Post reports, citing Turkmen media.
This marks a notable growth compared to the same period in the previous year, when exports stood at 346,000 tons valued at $110 million. The export portfolio includes a wide variety of goods, ranging from agricultural and food products to industrial items, transformers, water conditioners, and petrochemical products.
Trade turnover between the two countries during this period totaled around 365,000 tons with a combined value near $127 million.
On a broader scale, Iran’s Customs Administration revealed that the country’s total non-oil exports during the first quarter of 2025 reached 34.5 million tons, worth approximately $11.7 billion, underscoring Iran’s expanding trade efforts beyond its oil sector.
