Tehran accepted a proposal from Qatari mediators to restore navigation through the strait are false, Fars reports.

There is no agreement on resuming shipping through the Strait of Hormuz and dismissed recent reports suggesting otherwise as inaccurate.

The waterway will remain closed "as long as the United States continues its hostile actions," signaling that Iran is not prepared to lift restrictions despite speculation about ongoing mediation efforts.

The Strait of Hormuz is one of the world's most critical energy chokepoints, with a significant share of global oil and liquefied natural gas shipments passing through the narrow waterway.
