Iran, Russia Set Sail for CASAREX-2025 Naval Drills in Caspian Sea

Iran and Russia are set to launch joint naval exercises-code-named CASAREX-2025-in the Caspian Sea starting July 21, with the participation of both nations' naval forces and Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC).

The three-day search and rescue training operation, hosted by the Islamic Republic of Iran Navy, will also include military observers from other Caspian littoral states, The Caspian Post reports via local media.

The drills are designed to enhance maritime safety and promote coordination among the navies of Caspian-bordering countries.
