Iran continues to transport its US-sanctioned oil without consequence, even after a high-profile crackdown on ship-to-ship transfers near Malaysia, according to the influential advocacy group United Against Nuclear Iran (UANI), The Caspian Post reports citing foreign media.
The group added 23 new vessels to its “ghost armada” list on Monday taking the total to 170 vessels that are said to be involved in Iranian exports. ]
The newly-added ships have either hauled oil from Iran or been involved in ship-to-ship transfers at an anchorage off the Malaysian coast for onward delivery to China, said the group.
