Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has announced that it had launched heavy missiles toward Israel’s main international gateway, Ben Gurion Airport, as well as a nearby air force base.

The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps said it fired Khorramshahr-4 missiles carrying one-ton warheads at dawn, The Caspian Post reports via foreign media.

In a statement, the IRGC claimed the missiles were launched “toward the heart of Tel Aviv,” targeting Ben Gurion Airport and the base of the Israeli Air Force’s 27th squadron, reportedly located within the airport complex.

There was no immediate independent confirmation of the extent of damage or casualties.
