The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) has announced that it carried out strikes on multiple command and internal security centers in Iran.
The Israeli military said the operation targeted dozens of command centers, internal security facilities, and command posts of the Basij, a paramilitary force affiliated with the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), The Caspian Post reports via Russian media.
According to the IDF, the targeted sites were used by Iranian authorities to coordinate nationwide operations and monitor the internal situation across the country.
The statement added that Israeli forces also struck logistics and supply headquarters of Iran’s ground forces, as well as missile launchers and other military infrastructure.
The Basij, formally known as Basij-e Mostazafin (“Mobilization of the Oppressed”), operates local centers across Iran and functions as a paramilitary organization under the IRGC, playing a key role in domestic security and mobilization.
