Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan and Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi have had a phone talk to discuss preparations for the upcoming nuclear negotiations between Iran and the E3 -France, Germany, and the UK - scheduled for July 25 in Istanbul.
The two ministers exchanged views on the format and agenda of the talks, which aim to reinvigorate the long-stalled diplomatic process over Iran’s nuclear program, The Caspian Post reports, citing local media.
The upcoming meeting will mark a significant step in renewed efforts to bridge gaps on key issues, including uranium enrichment limits, sanctions relief, and verification mechanisms, which have remained unresolved in previous rounds of dialogue.
Beyond nuclear negotiations, Fidan and Araghchi also reviewed the ongoing humanitarian crisis in Gaza, expressing concern over the deteriorating conditions and underscoring the need for international action to alleviate civilian suffering.
The two ministers further discussed the situation in Syria, emphasizing the importance of maintaining regional stability and coordinated efforts to address shared security and humanitarian challenges.
