Iranian-made AD-08 Majid air defense systems were reportedly spotted during a military parade rehearsal in Yerevan, fueling speculation about possible military cooperation between Armenia and Iran.

The short-range air defense systems appeared during preparations for the parade in the Armenian capital, The Caspian Post reports via Clash Report.

If confirmed, Armenia could become the first known foreign operator of the Iranian-made AD-08 Majid air defense system.

The systems may be linked to a previously rumored arms agreement between Iran and Armenia reached in July 2024, with an estimated value of around $500 million.

Neither Tehran nor Yerevan has officially confirmed details regarding the reported defense deal or the deployment of the systems.
