Iran’s Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei has appointed former Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) commander Mohsen Rezaei as his military advisor, The Caspian Post reports, citing the Telegram channel Free Iran.

Rezaei is a well-known figure in Iran’s military and political establishment.

He previously served as commander-in-chief of the IRGC and later became a member of Iran’s Expediency Discernment Council.
