Netanyahu: Iran Restoring Ballistic Missile Production

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has said that Iran is working to restore its ballistic missile and nuclear capabilities.

Netanyahu noted that Israel had significantly set back Iran in both areas, but warned that Tehran is attempting to rebuild its nuclear program at other sites after the Fordow Uranium Enrichment Plant was destroyed, The Caspian Post reports via Russian media.

“They are also trying to restore their ballistic missile production facility,” the prime minister said, adding that Iran has resumed production.

The remarks come in the context of escalating tensions: Israel launched a military operation against Iran on June 13, followed by a retaliatory attack by Tehran. The US entered the conflict on June 22, striking Iranian nuclear sites in Isfahan, Natanz, and Fordow. The next day, Iran attacked the Al-Udeid airbase in Qatar, the largest US base in the Middle East. A ceasefire agreement between Israel and Iran was later implemented on June 24.
