US President Donald Trump said that Iran had been planning to take over the Middle East if the US and Israel had not acted first with military strikes.
Trump made the remarks during a press conference in Florida, The Caspian Post reports via foreign media.
The US leader said that Iran was a very powerful country and that it had been planning to take over the Middle East, adding that if they had not stopped it, Iran would have taken over the region.
The president also claimed that most of Iran’s missiles and other weapons systems had been destroyed, adding that many of them were aimed at countries in the Middle East that had no involvement in the conflict.
Trump further stated that Iran had intended to destroy Israel, but the US intervened in time.
The president said that they were very proud to be part of the project and that it would be completed soon, warning that if Iran resumed its actions, the US would deliver an even more devastating strike.
