Azerbaijan Supports Kazakhstan in Expanding Military Ties

Azerbaijan has expressed strong support for Kazakhstan in strengthening and expanding bilateral military cooperation, highlighting the countries’ long-standing ties of friendship, brotherhood, and shared strategic interests.

Kazakhstan’s newly appointed military attaché to Azerbaijan, Colonel Salauat Khayrushev, has been officially introduced to Azerbaijan’s Minister of Defense, Colonel General Zakir Hasanov, The Caspian Post reports via the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry.

During the meeting, Hasanov congratulated Colonel Khayrushev on his new role and highlighted that the Azerbaijan-Kazakhstan relations are built on friendship, brotherhood, and shared historical ties.

He wished the Kazakh attaché success in expanding bilateral military cooperation.

Colonel Khayrushev expressed gratitude for the trust and pledged to strengthen military relations during his tenure.

The meeting also covered the current status and future prospects of cooperation in military, military-technical, and military-educational fields, alongside discussions on other matters of mutual interest between the two countries.
