A fire has broken out at a kindergarten in southern Kazakhstan, prompting a rapid emergency response.

The incident occurred at a nursery school in the village of Aden-ata in the Turkestan Region, where the roof of a single-story kindergarten building suddenly caught fire, The Caspian Post reports via Tengrinews.kz.

Emergency services reported that firefighters arrived to find intense flames spreading across the roof. Crews quickly launched firefighting operations and managed to fully extinguish the blaze through coordinated action.

No children were inside the building at the time of the fire, preventing potential casualties.

The fire affected an area of about 244 square meters. No injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire is currently under investigation as officials work to determine what sparked the incident.
