Dorm Blaze in Kazakhstan Prompts Evacuation

Police officers and emergency responders evacuated around 27 people from a burning dormitory in Aktobe, Kazakhstan.

The preliminary reports indicate that the fire was caused by a short circuit in the building’s electrical wiring, The Caspian Post reports via Kazakh media.

Law enforcement and units from the emergency situations department arrived promptly at the scene. Among those evacuated were children and elderly residents.

Thanks to the coordinated efforts of emergency services, no casualties or injuries were reported.

Investigators are currently working to determine the exact causes and circumstances of the incident.
