Jackie Chan Begins Filming "Armour of God 4" in Kazakhstan’s Stunning Mangistau Landscapes

Hollywood action legend Jackie Chan has arrived in Kazakhstan’s Mangistau region to kick off production on his highly anticipated new film, “Armour of God 4: Ultimatum,” marking a major milestone for the country’s growing film industry.

Filming will showcase some of Kazakhstan’s most breathtaking natural scenery, with the iconic Bozzhyra tract selected as one of the movie’s main shooting locations. The choice highlights increasing international interest in Kazakhstan’s dramatic landscapes as world-class filming destinations, The Caspian Post reports via Kazinform.

During a meeting with the global superstar, Mangistau Governor Nurdaulet Kilybay said hosting a blockbuster of this scale will boost tourism, attract new investment, and strengthen the region’s international profile.

Jackie Chan thanked local authorities for their warm hospitality, praising Mangistau’s extraordinary scenery and saying its unique landscapes have exceptional cinematic potential that will play a memorable role in the film.

Production is scheduled to run in Kazakhstan from July through October 2026 under the direction of Kazakh filmmaker Robert Kun. In addition to Mangistau, filming will take place in Almaty and the Almaty region, with the movie set for wide international release.
