Sarah Friar, Chief Financial Officer of OpenAI, has said that the Kazakh and Azerbaijani languages are currently the fastest-growing languages on ChatGPT.
Speaking on the All-In Podcast with Chamath, Jason, Sacks & Friedberg, Friar highlighted the rapid global expansion of artificial intelligence adoption and pointed to strong growth in emerging markets, The Caspian Post reports via Kazinform.
“Our economic research team just showed me the fastest-growing continents now are Africa,” Friar said.
She added that language usage data also revealed unexpected leaders.
“The fastest-growing languages are Azerbaijani and Kazakh,” Friar noted, describing the trend as “kind of incredible.”
Friar said more than 900 million people now use ChatGPT every week, making it one of the world's most widely used artificial intelligence platforms.
“ChatGPT has become the noun and the verb. It's how most people experience AI for the first time,” she said.
Friar said that OpenAI's strategy focuses on building a common AI infrastructure that can serve consumers, businesses and developers through multiple products and interfaces.
She also emphasized the benefits of growing adoption, noting that a larger user base helps improve AI systems and increase efficiency.
“We have to recognize we're part of an ecosystem that also needs to bring people along collectively,” Friar said.
