Kazakh FM Heads to China Amid Rising Trade Ties

Kazakhstan’s Foreign Minister Yermek Kosherbayev has arrived in Beijing for official talks with China’s top diplomat, Wang Yi, a member of the CPC Central Committee’s Political Bureau.

The visit comes as trade between the two countries continues growing, The Caspian Post reports via Kazakh media.

In the first eight months of 2025, Kazakhstan-China trade surged 5.7 per cent year-on-year, reaching $30.68 billion. In 2024, bilateral trade totaled $43.82 billion, marking a 6.8 per cent increase compared to 2023.

Kosherbayev’s trip is expected to strengthen diplomatic and economic cooperation, reflecting the deepening ties between the Central Asian nation and its key Asian partner.
