Kazakh Lawmakers Gather in Astana to Shape Future of Digitalization

The Kazakh Senate will convene at 10:00 a.m. (GMT+5) on October 23 to discuss key issues on artificial intelligence and proposed amendments to legislative acts on AI and digitalization.

Earlier, Senate Speaker Maulen Ashimbayev highlighted that the Majilis (parliament) had adopted and forwarded 15 laws for the Senate’s review, The Caspian Post reports via Kazakh media.

He emphasized that deputies are actively advancing President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev’s agenda to boost AI integration across sectors.

In late September, the law on artificial intelligence was passed by the Majilis and presented to the Senate. Parliamentary hearings also gathered local and international experts to discuss how Kazakhstan can leverage AI for national development and digital transformation.
