Kazakh Leader Calls Iran Key Middle East Partner

Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has met with Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian at Akorda Palace, calling Iran a close neighbor and reliable Middle East partner.

President Tokayev emphasized the deep-rooted ties, shared culture, and centuries-long interaction between the two nations, The Caspian Post reports via Kazakh media.

The Kazakh leader highlighted the constructive political dialogue, growing inter-parliamentary ties, and expanding trade and economic cooperation, noting a 40 per cent increase in trade over the first ten months of 2025 compared to 2024. He stressed the importance of maintaining this momentum and further boosting mutual trade.

President Pezeshkian expressed pleasure in visiting fraternal Kazakhstan and praised the steady development of bilateral relations across political, economic, cultural, humanitarian, and security spheres. The talks followed a ceremonial welcome at Akorda Palace honoring the Iranian leader.
