Kazakh President to Visit Turkmenistan for Peace Forum

Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev will visit Ashgabat, Turkmenistan on December 11-12 to attend a major forum marking the International Year of Peace and Trust, the International Day of Neutrality, and 30 years of Turkmenistan’s permanent neutrality.

The visit highlights ongoing diplomatic engagement and opportunities for regional cooperation between Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan, The Caspian Post reports via Kazakh media.

Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan share long-standing diplomatic, economic, and cultural ties, rooted in their history as Central Asian neighbors. Both countries collaborate closely in energy, transport, and trade, particularly in natural gas and oil projects.
